Wait, am I writing my first article? let’s see how it goes.
Who is this “fantastic kid"?
Ben Doak is a Scottish International who was born in 2005, Yes 2005 and he is 16 years old just clocking to 17 by November this year.
Have you watched Morton in the past decades? If yes then you must be knowing a player called Martin Doak, Martin Doak is Ben’s grandfather so with that I can say Ben is a footballer by ancestry.
How does he come to be a Liverpool FC player?
Ben is one of the hottest prospects in the Liverpool Academy and is in line with other hot prospects like Harvey Elliot, Kaide Gordon and Stefan Bajectic who have joined Liverpool FC in the past years and have taken no time to make their debuts.
Liverpool FC had to pay 600k to get this 16-year-old’s signature from Celtic.
He had already had his debut with Celtic’s first team and was the second youngest player to ever make a debut for Celtic and had performed very well with Scotland U17.
Why are you calling him “Fantastic Kid”?
Some call him “wonder kid” but I call him Fantastic kid and that’s the question is?
Ben Doak is a right winger who has played more than 3 positions throughout his development at Celtic. He has played as an attacking midfielder, Wing-back, Full-back and as a winger with Celtic before the move and now with Liverpool U18 which makes him versatile but I think he is a natural winger who is going to be one of the best in that position.
He is a right-footed and direct winger who attacks spaces, receives wide, has a bursting speeding and is good in 1v1s due to his ability to dribble past his opponents.
Not to leave his playmaking abilities which are credited to his quick decision-making and interpretation of situations quicker and better than players of his age.
He has so far played 6 games, scored 3 times and assisted 2 times which is very good for a player who has just joined a new system but just comfortably fits in and he has started most of the games with Liverpool U18 and U19 in Youth UCL.
Ben Doak’s goal Vs Napoli. Criminal giving him that much room. https://t.co/a5lRhmUD3r
And now he has been called up to Scotland U21 whilst being just 16 years of age, I think you already see it, I mean the reason I call him “fantastic kid”!
He still has more years for developing and to be moulded into a Jürgen Klopp winger but through that process, I am sure he is likely to have his debut for the first team in these FA and Carabao Cup games coming up where first-team players might get to be rested due to fixed game-calender a head.
Conclusion; We will be back here. To update about Ben Doak’s achievements.
This isn’t the perfect one (article) so don’t be rude to me (judgement) since it’s my first-time next one will be much better, Subscribe for more.
